Steve Fitzhugh

A native of Akron, Ohio, Steve has been living and working in the Washington D.C. area since the mid 1980's.He is a graduate of Miami University of Ohio where he captained both the trackand football teams while earning his B.A. degree in Public Administration. Steve accepted a contract offer from the Denver Broncos of the NFL immediately after graduation. Sidelined by a shoulder injury after only two years, Steve began his Master of Divinity graduate studies at Howard University in Washington D.C. in 1987. Following divinity school, Steve spent 16 months on Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation in Belcourt, North Dakota, where he began a drug and alcohol prevention education for the public and private school systems.
Today, Steve serves nationally and abroad as the executive director of PowerMoves, leading students into success and significance. He also is the national spokesperson for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes' "One Way 2 Play - Drug Free" program. And when at home in Washington, DC, you can find Steve at "The House," an after school teen drop-in center he co-founded as a safe place for the students of Southeast DC. Steve is also an author, poet and lyricist. His book, "Who Will Survive? " is a powerful story of a devious scheme to destroy teens and the army charged to execute this plan. His poetry and songs tap into struggles, joys, heartaches, love and life’s funny moments to which so many can relate.
Steve is married and they are the proud parents of two daughters.

Dr. Bruce Baloian
Azusa Pacific University
Bruce Baloian, Ph.D., is professor of biblical studies in the Division of Religion and Philosophy of the School of Theology at Azusa Pacific University. Baloian wrote "Anger in the Old Testament" and has authored several articles for the New International Dictionary of Old Testament Theology among other writings that focus on the Old Testament. He has guest lectured for many organizations in his area of expertise on the Old Testament.
Bruce and his wife Karin have four adult children.
